Amanda Bauer

Amanda Bauer’s cross disciplinary work is suspended between photography and painting. Her photographs, silk-screen prints, paintings, collages and films are visually and conceptually saturated with intense emotion; they speak about vulnerability, subjective imprisonment and the turmoil of impermanence. The common threads running through her subject matter, dyed with vivid colors of overwhelming feeling, are thrill-phobias and eroticism of the hyper-real.
